About Nicole

Understanding the transformative and healing qualities of a regular practice quite literally changed my world. Working in a corporate environment for many years, yoga gave me the tools to manage this fast-paced life, eventually presenting itself as an opportunity to break away.

Wanting to share the countless benefits of a regular practice I took numerous trainings with a range of wonderful and diverse teachers including Jason Crandell, Carrie Owerko, Catharine Wilkinson, Allie Hill, Jim Harrington, Shiva Rea and Sarah Powers. I am now a 500hr Yoga Alliance certified teacher, that teaches vinyasa, hatha, yin and meditation.

My style is a fusion of all of my different learnings with a focus on alignment, breathwork, full body awareness and moving consciously.  I like to sequence intelligently yet creatively so that my classes are safe and meaningful yet fluid and fun.

I see the art of teaching and practicing yoga as ever evolving so I continue to expand my knowledge year on year through teaching classes, retreats and workshops as well as attending courses and programmes. My aim is to meet my students where they are and offer them a practice that works for them on physical, energetic and spiritual level.

Born in London, I have travelled to many parts of the world and have spent 5 years living in Cape Town where I focused on studio work, retreats and community classes. Since arriving back in the UK I have been teaching across a range of studios, public classes and private clientele in SW London and Surrey.

I believe that a regular practice provides the cornerstone for living life well. Seeing the positive shifts that develop across all areas of a student’s life has, and will continue to be, truly transformative for me.

About the retreat

The Autumn Equinox lends itself so beautifully to taking time to retreat. Making the end of the summer this phase can be seen as an environmental downtime, an opportunity to to ground, centre, move inwards and reflect. A time to honour the harvest of any intentions you may have set at the beginning of the year.

Carving out some time for you, this retreat will give you an opportunity to do exactly that, with daily yoga classes (vinyasa and yin), pranayama (yogic sleep), a sound bath, massage, walks in nature, trips to the beach, swimming, fire pit conversations or contemplation and delicious, nutritious, plant-based food.

The intention will be to relax, reset and renew. Taking the time to pause, let go of the old and make space for the new.

The retreat is open to all levels and abilities.

Friday

4pm Arrival

5pm Welcome

6pm Yoga – grounding slow flow and yin

7pm Dinner

8pm Fire pit conversation (weather permitting)

9pm Bedtime meditation, candlelit yoga nidra

Saturday

7.30am Light breakfast snacks

8.30am Mindful walk around grounds

9.15am Meditation, pranayama followed by dynamic yoga class to stoke the internal fire followed by relaxation

11.30am Big brunch

12.30pm Free time – swim, walk, beach trip, massage treatment, read, tennis, explore

6pm Evening candleit yin (saturate the senses) yoga practice with Tibetan bowls

7.30pm Fire pit conversations (weather permitting)

8pm Dinner follows by evening star-gazing, fireside conversation, contemplation

Sunday

7.30am Light breakfast snacks

8.30am Mindful walk around grounds

9.15am Meditation, pranayama followed by dynamic yoga class and relaxation

11.30am Big brunch

2pm Yin (pause witness and restore) yoga practice

3pm Closing circle
