Your octagonal tree temple is best described as a cozy fusion of a yurt, safari tent and tree house. It hides away in the eastern woods, a short stroll from the garden kitchen and the campfire. Opening your front door you will find both reclaimed Georgian sash windows and huge canvas-covered openings allowing plenty of light to pour in during the day. At night these roll down and you will be warmed by your wood burning stove. You really feel like you're living in the trees.
To create its West Lexham character your tree temple is decorated with splashes of bohemian and rustic furniture collected from distant travels or reclaimed and hand built by local carpenters. Complete with a small kitchenette (fridge, toaster & kettle) and ensuite with a shower.
When you roll up your canvass windows you feel like you are at one with the woods. Enjoy it all with the creature comforts of a log burner to boil the kettle and insulation to keep you toasty with hot water bottles and extra blankets too. Owl is perfect for a romantic get away or family of three. Sit in beside the fire or enjoy BBQ on the picnic table outside.
“We had a lovely stay in Owl Tree Temple – so cosy and rustic – great wood burning stove. Bathrooms amazing – better than at home – and love all the quirky, artistic details around the site – and a chance to enjoy the lake / grounds. Thanks to all who make WL such a special, magical place to visit!”. Sheena & Rob
We can provide you with hampers and ready cooked meals for hassle free feasting. You have your own large cool box to help keep the wine chilled. Go down to the fully equipped Garden Kitchen for a wood fired pizza and a chat with the other glampers. Our quirky outdoor bathroom is perfect for a hot shower and a freshen-up.
Bring your pampered pooches for a treehouse getaway! We are thrilled to say well behaved canine best friends are more than welcome, as long as the poop is scooped and they don't get too cosy on the beds. There is just a £25 fee for each fluffy friend to cover the specialist allergen cleaning once you have bounded off into the sunset after your stay.
Take a stroll around the garden, row a boat down the lake, or gaze up at the stars and toast marshmallows around the huge camp fire. We are near the beach and countless other exciting local attractions. Have a look at our activities menu to see how you can spoil, entertain or even edify yourself and your friends.
Have a look at our what's on page at the top of the page to see what courses and events might be on for you to get involved in while you are here.
When you stay at West Lexham you are part of something bigger than simply an eco holiday. It is an experiment in living and re-acquainting ourselves with nature. An open hearted approach, turning sustainability into thriveabilty as we experience how wonderful life can be. More about us.
"What a beautiful place to stay for our first holiday this year. Owl was just magical and the most relaxing place I have ever stayed. Thank you so much for creating this wonderful place - you should be very proud of yourselves. We will be back".

“I blind-folded my boyfriend and took him to the treehouses. This place is another level of magical, beautiful and marvellous…. It’s quite difficult not to write a really gushing piece about how amazing and peaceful the whole set-up is! Owl Tree Temple (our new home) was just PERFECT – love it so much.”
