21st-23rd February 2020
Mara, originally from Italy, lives and teaches yoga in London. She trained with Sampoorna Yoga in India two years ago and she’s been teaching across London since then. She discovered yoga in a moment where she felt lost and deeply insecure and this practice helped to change her life around, bringing more love, kindness and compassion in her life.
Mara’s teaching style is challenging but always encouraging to find what feels good for your body in that moment, therefore adjusting and modifying for your needs. She spurs you to explore your body, bringing a new awareness to your whole self.
A curious, creative soul born in England, now living in Scotland. I first practiced Yoga around 11 years ago and came back to it again & again over the years without really feeling anything click. In 2016 after the death of my Mum, I needed something that wasn’t just a quick fix but instead, longevity in healing & learning how to live again with a new awakened & more positive mindset. After experiencing many shifts when I needed them most, I knew I wanted to teach & share these break-through with others. Over the last 3 years I have trained in India, Edinburgh, Thailand and Bali and taught in Scotland, London, Mallorca & Ibiza. I am grateful each day, for this beautiful practice that continues to help me heal & live each day with joy. To come back to ourselves each time, in collective consciousness & be able to support others in their own journey of growth, is a true privilege.
About the retreat
Yoga practices (vinyasa, yin and a themed workshop), meditations, delicious vegan food & mindful activities, like walks in nature, journaling, star-gazing, pranayama and gratitude practice.
The aim of this retreat is to allow you to relax and switch off form the hustle and bustle of your day to day life, but also learning the tools that will help you raise your vibrations, with the main focus being around developing gratitude for everything around us and understanding how we can’t change what happens but we can change how we react to it.
