In passing a Norfolk bonsai nursery the other day, I could not resist going in. I was on my way to visit my goddaughter and upon beholding the beautiful miniature trees, my childhood hobby was rekindled and I just had to buy her one.   I realised that many of today’s bonsais are not grown from seedlings and encouraged to grow into the perfect shape from birth.
